Daniel Lynch

bio.

Daniel Lynch is a contemporary artist and troublemaker based in Melbourne and working in multiple mediums whilst utilising waste and recycled materials as the principle material for his work. Daniel often works in the public domain as well as in the studio and gallery, and this 'street art ' component of the work has come to be known as the 'Junky Projects'. With a background in Visual Communication and Education, Daniel’s art practice focuses on the issues surrounding waste management and overconsumption in today’s modern consumerist society. The work explores possible outcomes for a world consumed by garbage and the denizens that may exist within that world. Daniel Also runs creative workshops and art projects for young people creating art from waste, travelling to rural and regional as well as metropolitan areas to work with participants in diverse backgrounds and environments.

'Armies will rise, Cities will fall, Junk will remain."
