We are so excited to announce the opening of the Blender Studio artist residency program. Become part of the world-famous Blender Studios community. Stay in a beautiful studio loft with private and clean amenities. The loft aims to create a place to inspire artists, writers and creatives. A place to
share knowledge and learn from each other. The space includes a self-contained art studio, a writer’s desk and access to public areas throughout the studios. This means that the artist staying in the Blender Loft can create research in any medium without limitations.
The ‘Blender Studios’ has cemented itself in the Melbourne art vernacular and become a major art centre whose operations span 25 years. Based in the City of Melbourne, the Blender Studios has become a well-known brand that is home to several cutting-edge contemporary art projects. Including Darkhorse
Experiment (research gallery), Melbourne Street Tours and workshops, Blender Creatives. (Mural creation.) Workshops and Paint Splash Lab and the Blender Art Café. These projects have, in turn brought in community, built energy, and created greater opportunities for the artists.
Blender Studios is the oldest independent art studio in Melbourne. Blender Studios was set up in 2001 and has long been an important part of the Melbourne fine art and street art scene. Blender runs 100s of workshops run 100s per year including corporate team building and school holiday programs and have more than 35,000 visitors attending the Melbourne Street Art Tours each year. Many traveling from
interstate and overseas. Blender Studios and Melbourne Street Tours have become world famous and have helped promote Melbourne on a local, national and international level, and has been instrumental in coining Melbourne as a creative city. Blenders alumni have gone onto great things with many of today’s top artists curators and designers having called the studios home.
At the Blender Loft residency we have aimed to provide you with everything you may need so that you can take it all in and enjoy this creative environment. You will find that all amenities are provided including linens, soaps, tea & amp; coffee, Wi-Fi, private and clean bathroom, a lockable and clean self-
contained live in studio.
While you are a guest of The Blender Loft, you are also a guest of the 24 artists that work at Blender Studios. We encourage you to spend time with us in the studios, meeting & mingling with the artists, playing the piano, and getting to know what makes this studio one-of-a-kind.
