Punk Me Up, I’ll Dance

Punk Me Up, I’ll Dance is a community-driven street dance event celebrating the shared passion for Punking/W_acking. This special gathering welcomes the last living OG Punker, Viktor Manoel, all the way from Los Angeles, USA, to share his deep knowledge, philosophy, and lived experience with the Australian dance community.

The event blends both battle and performance, featuring 1v1 Punking/W_acking battles alongside an Open Performance competition. These elements highlight the dance’s expressive, social, and theatrical roots, inviting dancers and audience members alike on a journey of storytelling and vulnerability.

Beyond the main event, the weekend is packed with opportunities to learn, connect, and be inspired. Take part in a performance course leading up to the event, join an open workshop, and don’t miss the free knowledge/Q&A session with Viktor Manoel on Sunday—an unmissable chance to dive deeper into the history, culture, and evolution of this powerful dance form.
